The "trip" to Gubbio that Raffaele Sollecito and Amanda Knox had planned 15 years earlier

In the book of Rocco Girlanda entitled "I'm coming with you - interviews in prison with Amanda Knox" same Knox had thus described the moments before the murder of Meredith Kercher: “The very day we discovered Meredith's body I had to go to Gubbio with Raffaele". The two ex-boyfriends then met again in the same city ofUmbria where they planned to go before the case of the murdered student broke out.

For its part, Raphael Sollecito stated that it was the one who took the initiative for the meeting Amanda Knox but still both had been planning to see each other for some time. The American did not only meet the computer engineer but also the lawyers Luciano Ghirga e Charles Dalla Vedova e Don Saulo Scarabattoli, former chaplain of the Perugia prison where he served 4 years in prison.

The two ex-lovers are now free and for the murder of the student only the Ivorian was sentenced in the end Rudy Guede, who has always declared himself "Unrelated to the facts". The latter, after serving 16 years for complicity in murder and sexual violence, was released from jail in 2021.
