The Railway Museum of Pietrarsa will allow you to visit the beautiful locomotives also at Christmas thanks to extraordinary openings!

Il National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, based in San Giovanni a Teduccio, will carry out some extraordinary openings for the 2015 Christmas period, allowing visitors to learn more about the locomotives and trains stored in it and that tell the story Italian railway history of the last 170 years.

The current Museum was founded in 1840 by King Ferdinand II of Bourbon with the name of Reale Opificio Meccanico, Pyrotechnic and for Locomotives and initially it was a steel industry and a steam locomotive factory. Today it is one of the most important museums in the south and exhibits important pieces such as love cars of all kinds, electric cars, railcars and passenger carriages. The gem is represented by carriage-saloon of the Savoia train, which today is the "Train of the Presidency of the Italian Republic".
