The Barbie exhibition at the PAN will not take place.

Notice: we communicate to readers that the exhibition will not be held.

An exhibition entirely free will be dedicated to Barbie, the dolls that have accompanied the childhood of many generations and that the PAN of Naples wants to pay homage with a series of photographs, sculptures and works of contemporary art.

From the 12 14 2015 September, the halls of the Palazzo delle Arti in Naples will color the bright and engaging shades of Barbie in its different models, varied over the years adapting to the fashions and canons of beauty of the decades.
The exhibition has the title of #Barbie, using the hashtag to give a touch of modernity to a product that proves to be able to adapt to the times.

Icona Pop

Barbie is considered by all to be the Pop icon par excellence, a glamor symbol that has never ceased to fascinate the girls of all ages (and why not, even teenagers and adults). With its refined style, elegance is always fashionable, has been able to adapt to changes in society, drawing inspiration from time to time on the predominant beauty standards. Born in the 50s on the model of the divas of the time, in her time she changed her style and her shapes, following the evolution of society. From curvy to slimmer, she has never lost her smile and sympathy vanity that distinguish it.

Barbie and social networks

The exhibition at the Pan focuses mainly on the display of photographs that imagine our Barbie in the most famous social networks of the moment, such as Facebook, Twitter e Instagram. Thus we will be able to see the doll portrayed in it known places of Naples, like the stadium or the historic center, while posing smiling or is intent to take one Selfie.
An interesting and particular idea, which makes the pop icon of numerous generations even more modern.
