The comedy "Welcome to the Esposito house" by and with Paolo Caiazzo, based on the best seller of the same name by Pino Imperatore, will debut at the Augusteo Theater
Finally on stage, with debut at Augustan theater of Naples, the comedy Welcome to the Esposito home, based on the novel of the same name written by Pino Imperatore, became in a very short time a best seller and a literary case that has enthused thousands of readers.
To make Welcome to the Esposito home a theatrical show directed by Paolo Caiazzo, who also plays the role of the protagonist and the artistic collaboration of Alessandro Siani. Other famous Neapolitan actors are also on stage, such as Loredana Simioli, Nunzia Schiano, Salvatore Misticone, Mimmo Esposito, Maria Rosaria Virgili, Gennaro Silvestro, Federica Altamura.
The success of the comedy is due to his ironic and satirical vein against the organized Neapolitan underworld, which shows the most ridiculous and peasant aspects of the Camorra and crime, with a style and a language typical of the great Neapolitan comic tradition. The story revolves around the tragicomic misadventures of Tonino Esposito, who wants at all costs to follow in the footsteps of his father Gennaro, a famous boss admired by the whole Sanità district. But, on the contrary, Tonino is clumsy and unlucky, and his criminal aims lead him to clash with his family, with the laws of the underworld and with the new leader of the neighborhood, Pietro De Luca known as O 'Tarramoto.
To protect himself from others' hostility, he decides to take refuge at the Cemetery of the Fontanelle, where he begins a dialogue with a skull which, according to legend, belonged to a Spanish Captain. The two co-stars thus begin an unusual friendship, and Tonino will often be helped by the Captain's ghost to achieve his goal, through hilarious episodes. In the end, his dream comes true, but having finally become leader of the district, he decides to change the rules, forcing all members of the clan to adopt virtuous and environmentally friendly behavior.
Welcome to the Esposito home is a comedy not to be missed, because it represents one of the few complaints against the underworld able to reach the general public, through an ironic and funny but effective language, the bearer of a great message of ethical value.
