Cabaret, the famous musical, comes to life at the Augusteo Theater in Naples in a version suitable for today.
From the 9 18 December 2016 it will be Cabaret al Augustan theater, an interpretation of the famous film and musical that in 1972 launched a young Liza Minelli.
The plot of the musical is based on the relationship between a young novelist and a girl who live their story in a Berlin of the 30s in a climate of political uncertainty, where Nazism is breaking into everyday life.
According to director Saverio Marconi, it will be a very different interpretation from the usual one, with moments of metatheatre and profound analysis of problems of that time that are revealed as current as ever: the inertia and indifference towards an increasingly unpleasant reality, accepted by all for laziness in acting.
Among the protagonists, Giampiero Ingrassia who will play the Master of Ceremonies of Kit Kat Klub.
Very important the soundtrack of this musical, which for the occasion was rearranged and interpreted by the singer Giulia Ottonello.
