To allow the festivities of New Year's in Naples in the square of Plebiscite and along the seafront take place on a regular basis, during the day 30 and 31 December 2022 and 1 January 2023, a has been put in place traffic plan. The Municipality of Naples has published the new ordinance on the official website.
From 18:00 on 30 December 2022 and until the needs ceased on 31 December 2022
Prohibition of vehicular transit:
- In the carriageways of Piazza del Plebiscito in front of the Prefecture and the Commiliter;
- In via Vittorio Emanuele III and via San Carlo, from the intersection of the branch for the left turn coming from piazza Municipio to that of piazza Trieste e Trento;
- In via Solitaria, piazzetta Salazar, rampe Paggeria except for: residents' vehicles, vehicles bearing the "H" sign with a disabled person on board, emergency and rescue vehicles, which will circulate in an alternating one-way manner;
- In Piazza Santa Maria degli Angeli, via G. Serra, piazza Carolina, via Monte di Dio, via Chiaia and via Nicotera (from via Santa Teresella degli Spagnoli to piazza Santa Maria degli Angeli) except: residents' vehicles, vehicles equipped marked "H" with a disabled person on board directed to the driveways on the stretches affected by the prohibition, emergency and rescue vehicles;
- Via Cesario Console.

- In piazza Carolina, from the confluence of via Gennaro Serra to that of via Chiaia, and in via Chiaia, from the confluence of piazza Carolina to that of piazza Trieste e Trento, the one-way traffic from piazza Carolina to piazza Trieste e Trento;
- Suspend non-scheduled public service car parking (taxi) in Piazza Carolina and in Via San Carlo.
From 18:00 on 31 December 2022 and until the needs cease on 1 January 2023:

- In via Alessandro Dumas father;
- In via Orsini in the stretch that leads to via Partenope;
- In Borgo Marinari;
- In via Nazario Sauro from the confluence with via Lucilio;
- In via Nardones from the confluence with piazza Trieste e Trento;
Suspend
- The taxi ranks in via San Carlo, via Santa Lucia at the confluence with via Partenope and in piazza Carolina;
- The track and cycle paths in the stretches affected by the events;
set up
- The obligation, for vehicles circulating in via Carlo de Cesare, to turn left at the intersection of via Toledo;
- The one-way traffic in via Toledo from the intersection of via Carlo de Cesare to that of via Santa Brigida;
- The obligation for vehicles circulating in piazza Carolina to turn left at the intersection of via Chiaia;
- The prohibition of parking with forced removal in via Cesario Console, from piazza Plebiscito and up to via Santa Lucia, except for the vehicles of personalized "H" seat holders.
From 1:00 on 1 January 2023 until the needs cease on the same day
In case of need for vehicular and pedestrian safety reasons established by the Local Police Service, the prohibition of vehicular transit in via Let's call them except for residents' vehicles heading to driveways, emergency, rescue and law enforcement vehicles.
It will be the responsibility of the Local Police Service to establish the activation time of this Executive Ordinance according to the needs of vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
