The Carnival at the San Carlo Theater will be both playful and educational together with the brass ensemble and make-up stations for dressing up

Il San Carlo Theater of Naples, the oldest theater in Europe, is preparing to celebrate the 2015 Carnival with a show suitable for both adults and children.

In fact, on Sunday 15 February 2015, the interesting, but also fun initiative will take place "Carnival in masks. Ottoni… and Fracassoni". Together with the brass ensemble of the Teatro di San Carlo Orchestra we will get to know the world of brass, instruments often overshadowed by pianos or violins, traditionally associated with a classical opera and an evening in the theater.

During the morning at Historical Foyerinstead, we will want to make known, especially to children, the importance of these instruments, often fundamental during the performance of a concert. The Orchestra will perform by performing an entire program that will lead us to the discovery of this family of musical instruments.

Naturally, everything will have to take place strictly in disguise. Therefore, parents and children must go to the Theater suitably disguised and make-up. The structure, however, will make available to the public a post in which it will be possible to complete your costume together with the employees hair and makeup present there.

An initiative, this of the Carnival at San Carlo, which wants to reaffirm the importance of culture and music and does so through a program that is both playful and educational.
