Unmissable appointment for Saturday February 18 2023 at 19:00 and at 20:30, at the Church of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples with the special theatrical visit dedicated to Giordano Bruno and organized by the NarteA cultural association, which has always been active in the Neapolitan area in cultural events.
The condemnation of Giordano Bruno
Flames and reason this is the title of the theatrical visit to the complex of San Domenico Maggiore which will be open exceptionally, and in which one of the most dramatic episodes in history will be retraced, namely the sentenced to the stake for heresy of Giordano Bruno. The episode took place on February 17, 1600 at the Campo de' Fiori in Rome.
An important story that saw a man condemned because he didn't want to renounce his philosophical theories, and who therefore sacrificed himself in the name of the his thought, which obviously was totally opposed to the rigid vision of the Church.
The theatrical visit, directed by Febo Quercia, will see Mario Di Fonzo, Pietro Juliano, Peppe Romano, Alessio Sica on stage. While he will be there to guide the guests Matthew Borriello.
