For New Year's Eve 2017, the Circumvesuviana on the Naples-Sorrento route will perform an extraordinary service with an extended timetable.
On the occasion of the free opening of Archaeological excavations of Pompeii: the day of New Year 2017 are expected extraordinary hours on the Naples-Sorrento line trains of Circumvesuviana.
We remember, in fact, that on 1 January all museums and state sites will be open for free and Pompeii will also be involved, with opening hours from 8.30 to 17.00 (last admission at 15.30), thanks to an initiative of the Region, the Superintendency and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. For this reason, tourists and citizens will be able to take advantage of theextension of the railway service on the aforementioned line, a provision that is exceptional in nature.

The exceptional time slot is from 14.00 to 19.00In fact, according to the agreement, on 1 January the trains on the Naples-Sorrento route will also travel in the afternoon, in addition to the times provided for by the ordinary service for this holiday. In the future, it is expected that there will be agreements to guarantee extraordinary hours also on the holidays of Christmas and Easter.
So, for the whole New Year's day, the treats will work for the whole day from 6.00 to 19.00, with extraordinary character from 14.00 to 19.00.
