That something was wrong with the route Poggiomarino-Sarno it was now clear, given that there had been more than one stop in recent weeks, the last one just a few days ago.
And here's the news, the route will be closed for maintenance work for 2 days during the weekend.
The reasons for the closure
The reason for this temporary suspension of service is clear: works of maintenance and mowing. The Volturno Autonomous Body, which manages the line, has planned these operations not as a mere fulfillment, but as an essential step to ensure safe travel.
Service suspensions: times and days
From Saturday 9 December, from 15pm, the route between Poggiomarino and Sarno will not be passable. To avoid inconvenience, the EAV has organized a substitute bus service. The last train from Naples to Sarno will leave 13: 34, while subsequent trips will be guaranteed up to Poggiomarino, with continuation by bus towards Sarno. From Sarno, the last train will leave for Naples at 14pm, followed by bus connections.
When will service resume?
The normal train service will resume on December 11th. A short suspension, therefore, but with the promise of a return to normality, with an even safer and more reliable network, certain that there will be no further sudden stops.
