The Glorioso Giornalino turns 90 and, waiting for Comicon 2014, the Mostra d'Oltremare hosts an exhibition dedicated to the historic comic

While everyone is eagerly waiting for the next program Comicon of Naples, which will take place from 1 to 4 May 2014, again at the Mostra d'Oltremare, some rumors have already been revealed.

After the incredible success ofedition of 2013, surely this year too there will be many i Cosplayy to admire and events to attend. One of the most important has been presented in these days and concerns the historian Glorioso Giornalino, which performs 90 years.

The exhibition in on honor, called its own “The glorious Giornalino: 90 years on the side of the adventure, comics and education kids ”, it will be open to visitors from the 27 March to the 1 June and will be held in the Latin America Pavilion (Entrance from the gates of Viale Marconi and Viale Kennedy) of the Mostra d'Oltremare.

The Glorioso Giornalino was founded in 1924 has always been a weekly for children of Catholic inspiration which, over the decades, has been remarkably successful. In collaboration with the Giornalino and the MUF (National Museum of Comics and Image of Lucca), an exhibition will be set up dedicated to its history with many surprises, including the presentation of the new essay published in the Giornalino and illustrated in the series "I Libri di Comicon".

The exhibition path will show numerous boards that will retrace Italian history, starting from the fascist era up to the most modern digital era. You will be able to meet Larry Yuma, Capitan Erik, Pon Pon fino and Pinky, all historical characters of the cartoon drawings.

Among the characters that you can admire, we will also find special guests like the Ninja Turtles, Looney Tunes and Popeye, among others; while you can also admire the cartoon reproductions of literary classics such as I Promessi Sposi e Pinocchio.

The most important authors of these reproductions are Dino Battaglia, Luciano Bottaro, Giorgio Cavazzano, Gianni De Luca, Gino Gavioli, Benito Jacovitti, Massimo Mattioli, Attilio Micheluzzi, Ferdinando Tacconi, Sergio Toppi, Sergio Zaniboni, and writers such as Alfredo Castelli, Mino Milani and Tiziano Sclavi.
