2015 New Year's Concert of the New Scarlatti Orchestra of Naples

The New Orchestra Scarlatti will propose the great works of classical music for the 2015 New Year concert

This year, too, the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti will delight us with a beautiful New Year's Eve concert at the Teatro Mediterraneo at the Mostra d'Oltremare.

On January 1, 2015 , the ensemble will perform a selection of the most famous classical works to celebrate the arrival of the new year together. We will be able to listen to masterful masterpieces by Strauss, Shostakovich, Piazzolla, and many others.

The Orchestra will open the evening with a surprise, then continue with a series of Shostakovich waltzes . The program will continue with Strauss and Monti's Czardas, and after another interlude dedicated to Strauss's marches and polkas, we will be completely immersed in Zorba's Dance and the fantastic Overture to Bizet's Carmen.

The evening will conclude with a reworking of an Arabic song on a classical theme, followed by a slow tango that will engage the audience almost as if it were a collective prayer. Immediately afterward, the dynamism of a Piazzolla tango and the exhilarating speed of the Tritsch Tratsch Polka will follow. The finale will feature De Giosa's vivacissimo and the Radetzky March, a constant presence in New Year's celebrations.

The Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti, which for the fourth consecutive year has decided to celebrate the first day of the year together with the public, wishing serenity for the next 364 years through the performance of the most beautiful classical works in musical history , will certainly ensure that we spend a wonderful evening with notes capable of lifting the spirits.
