Naples becomes the theater of the XIV edition of the Convivio Armonico, with many musical events scheduled!

Il 24 April 2015 Naples kicked off the "2015 Harmonic Convivium, Ancient Music in the Body of Naples" the extraordinary musical cycle that will end the August 2th, 2015.

The XIV edition of the renowned kermesse, curated by "Arte Arte", presents a rich program of events dedicated to Neapolitan music, from the classic eighteenth century to modern. Specifically, the festival is divided into three lodgings main, such as, Music at the Museum, Sounds in the Sacred Places and Other Places.

Music at the Museum

Started last April 24 at the Nilo Museum Shop, the event will last until May 29 2015 with as many as six appointments on the calendar. Opening the dances were the splendid music and the sound objects of ancient Rome, presented to the public by the Synaulia by Walter Maioli. The next meetings will be equally rich in the company of performances of ancient and contemporary Neapolitan music, with concerts, arias, sonatas and soloists.

Sounds in the Holy Places

The second part of the Convivio Armonico will be dedicated to two special events. The first, entitled "Viva Verdi", will take place at the Royal and Pontifical Basilica of S. Francesco di Paola and will bring to light beautiful performances by two exceptional choirs. The second will instead be dedicated to sacred and chamber music, with a special “Salve Regina” which will take place at the Church of S. Angelo a Nilo.

Other places

Finally, they will be unmissable concerts and seminars of "Ad Sepulcrum", "The Triumph of Intermezzi" and "Rarità Trovate", thanks to which the traditional music of the Neapolitan 700 will reach Rome and Abruzzo.
