Il President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca he is showing great concern about the increase in infections not only in our region, but throughout Italy.

In fact, for several days i cases of positives are constantly increasing as well as i admissions in intensive and ordinary care. The Cardarelli Hospital is also seeing its wards fill up, despite the fact that it is not saturated at the moment.

Gradually the Central government intends to eliminate anti-Covid regulations, up to the elimination of the obligation to wear a mask probably from the month of May. Perspective considered not very cautious according to De Luca given the current situation.

The risk of eliminating the requirement for masks

Come back to life normal of the past would plunge us back into the face of the need for return to the closing of the activities, again according to De Luca.

If we want to go back to living normally, we have to keep the small and bearable sacrifice of using the mask especially on means of transport and in indoor places, even if the obligation will not apply. We remember that in Campania there is still the obligation to wear it even outdoors, a sign of the importance that the President of the Region attaches to it.

Indeed, there would be the risk of closing Italy. "This little annoyance is better than re-fueling the Covid contagion", explained De Luca.

The fourth dose of vaccine for everyone

Furthermore, De Luca declared himself in favor of the fourth dose of the anti-Covid vaccine for everyone and not just for the frail:

“And vaccinations must continue, the fourth dose must be introduced, for those like me who already had the third four months ago and are starting to have some problems. But in general, the use of the mask, which is not a huge sacrifice, must be generalized, for those who have been vaccinated and those who have not been vaccinated. Let's take the case of schools: we have children who, when they are in class, have masks. Then when they enter and when they leave, gatherings of hundreds of young people. The children return home, return to their families, and begin to recontact the elderly ”.
