The President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca returns to talk to us about ordinances due to theincrease in Covid cases due to the new variant Omicron 5, more contagious of the former, which is spreading rapidly and is about to become the dominant variant.

With the arrival of summer and the imminent departures of thousands of people abroad, it is feared that upon return there may be a new resurgence of positive cases, for this reason the Governor has announced the preparation of a new ordinance for checks at the airports for those returning to Campania.

This was communicated to Ischia, at the presentation of the project that foresees the expansion of the Rizzoli Hospital. Recall that the Campania is one of the regions with the highest number of positive cases.

What the De Luca ordinance provides

It has not yet been published, but the ordinance devised by De Luca provides mandatory checks at Campania airports for all those who return to the Region after their holidays abroad at the end of August. The purpose is avoid making the months of September and October too heavy from a health point of view.

By the end of July it is expected to reach the plateau, that is the threshold of stabilization of infections, but in the following month it could change the situation for the worse just for the return from holidays.

As mentioned, in Campania there is one of the most high increments of infections and also of incidence, that is, of the relationship between infections and swabs carried out, as well as of people in home isolation. You need to be cautious and continue to use the mask especially indoors.
