Damien Rice will be in concert at the Acacia Theater in Naples in a charity show for Monte Olivella!
Il 19 May 2017 the Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice he will perform live at the Acacia Theater of Naples flanked by Spanish street artist Escif for the launch of the “Breath Project”.
A project that provides for planting of 5000 trees on Monte Olivella, a mountain that has suffered partial deforestation due to which floods often occur in the surrounding areas.
The realization will be possible thanks to the proceeds of the concert by Damien Rice and a fundraising campaign. The vision of Escif is to make a battery, consisting of 5.000 trees, which depicts the cycle of the seasons expressed through iridescent colors: green in spring and summer, red in autumn, without leaves in winter.
Our planet behaves like the battery of a telephone which, in order to function properly, needs to be recharged. The first planting phase will take place in September, then to fully recharge the battery in the autumn of 2019 other 2.000 trees will be planted.
Damien Rice and Escif collaborated on creating the designs that were used for the cover of Rice's third album titled "My Favorite Faded Fantasy" released in the 2014 on Atlantic. Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday 15 February.
