David di Donatello 2023: the winners, here's who triumphed

The David di Donatello 2023, with the exception of the surprise David for Best Song to Elodie, reserved few twists: The Eight Mountains divides, as expected, all the Davids with La Stranezza and External Night.

No major jolts ai David by Donatello 2023: as anticipated by the predictions, the main prizes of the evening were divided equally between Exterior Night, The Strangeness e The Eight Mountains, who respectively took home four David di Donatello awards each. The only surprise, if we can call it that, was the David for Best Film conferred to The Eight Mountains: everyone expected him to take him home The Strangeness.

In addition to David for Best Film, The Eight Mountains it also won the David for Best Adapted Screenplay, for Cinematography and for Sound. The Strangeness instead, despite missing the David for Best Film, on the other hand it was able to "console" itself with the David for Best Producer, Best Production Design, Best Costumes and Best Original Screenplay.

Exterior Night, the mini event series dedicated to life and last hours of Aldo Moro, brought home, in addition to the David for Best Director and Best Actor, two other Davids.

David di Donatello 2023, the other prizes awarded

As for the category Best International Film, to win the David (although not so surprisingly) was Steven Spielberg for its The Fabelmans, while the David for Best Directorial Debut went to Julia Louise Steigerwalt for the movie September. Always September got a David for Best Actress in a Leading Role, which went to Barbara ronchi.

And surprisingly, there was even a little joy for Drought, which had been judged one of the great excluded: the film took home the David for Best Supporting Actress, conferred to Emmanuel Fanelli. David for Best Supporting Actor was assigned instead to Francesco Di Leva for its interpretation in Nostalgia.
