Eduardo Scarpetta triumphed at the David di Donatello 2022 receiving the award for the film “Qui I laugh”, but it is all of Naples to have overwhelmed since last night's May 3 awards were a series of awards for Neapolitan cinema.

Eduardo Scarpetta wins for Here I laugh, the great emotion

The award like Best Supporting Actor went to Eduardo Scarpetta for the film Qui rido io, the film that celebrates the figure of his namesake Eduardo Scarpetta, founder of the Scarpetta-De Filippo family and incredible playwright and actor who gave life to the great Neapolitan theater and comedy whose legacy was later Eduardo De Filippo, one of his illegitimate sons.

The contemporary Eduardo Scarpetta is on his first David di Donatello and is went up on the stage of Cinecittà in tears, very moved by the recognition.

Ha dedicated the award not only to the director Mario Martone, but also to another Mario, the father who he lost at just 11 years of age.

It was his father who, about 25 years ago, gave Mario Martone the manuscript of "" Qui rido io ", a script that was used to make the film whose protagonist was played by Toni Servillo.

Recall that Eduardo Scarpetta recently he also shot the series The Ignorant Fairies inspired by the film of the same name.

Five awards also to Paolo Sorrentino

Director Paolo Sorrentino also won both the award for the best film with "It Was the Hand of God", both the premium like best director, always for the same film.
