In Cava de 'Tirreni the suggestive challenge between the town houses is repeated with the show of the flag wavers!
An annual event that always attracts thousands of visitors and takes place on the first Sunday of the month. There Tournement a Cava de 'Tirreni will be held on July 5 2015 with an anticipation on July 4th.
This is one of the most awaited events by the cavesi competes the various houses of the municipality in a challenge to conquest of the White Parchment.

The event is reminiscent of the battle of Sarno in which the caves intervened to defend the king Ferdinand I of Aragon said Ferrante who was about to suffer a defeat by Giovanni d'Angiò, thus saving the Aragonese kingdom.
The White Parchment was a letter delivered by King Ferdinand to the mayor of Cava in which the caves would have to put their demands on the sovereign, who would grant them as a token of thanksgiving. It was never completed and is still preserved in the City Hall.

inauguration in Piazza Giovanni Nicotera with delivery of the Easter candle to the Franciscan Community and the Blessing to the Cavota Army, with the participation of the mayor in the role of the then mayor Onofrio Scannapieco. It will parade at the head of the Historical Parade along the Borgo along with hundreds of figures who in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III will pay homage to the White Parchment.
5 July
The farmhouses, in the Simonetta Lamberti stadium, with their own 36 pistons they must be able to execute the firing battery in the foreseen time interval, load the weapon in the shortest time and suffer the least number of penalties. Victory will be decided by one Sparo Jury with members of the National Target Shooting of Cava de 'Tirreni and the Città Fedelissima Trophy will be delivered to the farmhouse with the best choreography, technical execution and formal appearance. Award presented by a Jury of entertainment and journalism exponents.
The event will be enriched by the exhibition of Cavensi Bandwheels that will delight those present with their evolutions and that of gods Knights of the White Parchment.
A Representation Plate will also be given to a personality of the municipality who distinguished himself for his work in favor of the city.
The winners of the initiative will be awarded Parchment in White with a publication on the City of Cava de 'Tirreni
