A special visit to Napoli Comicon: special guest the famous Disney cartoonist Don Rosa!

For Naples Comicon to be held from 22 to 25 April 2016, will return to our city the great cartoonist Disney Don Rosa, a designer trained with the teachings of the genius Carl Barks, creator of Uncle Scrooge, Amelia, Gastone, Rockerduck and many other Disney characters.

He will then return to Naples after 13 years and will meet his fans at the Teatro del Mediterraneo at Mostra d'Oltremare, to plunge into one Disney evening with rare and unpublished videos and contributions. Many also cartoonists from all over the world who will participate in the evening.

Don Rosa is known above all for having rebuilt and illustrated the genealogical tree of the duck family and for the fantastic Saga of Scrooge Scrooge: in this complex comic book, the author traces the story of the richest duck in the world starting from his Scottish origins until his arrival in the USA when his family meets that of the American ducks descendants of the founder of Duckburg.

We also remember that Don Rosa has Italian origins: its full name is Keno Don Hugo Rosa where “Keno” refers to grandfather Joachim. Emigrated to the USA from the province of Pordenone, he changed his name to Chino and then to Keno, to facilitate his pronunciation to the Amercians.

Precisely for this reason, Don Rosa wants to rediscover its Italian roots, asking for help from us fans and readers. Over time he has failed to contact any of his descendants, which is why anyone who can help him can report it on the page Facebook of the Comicon.
