In Paestum the 2017 PGI Artichoke Festival arrives with many stands that will prepare exquisite dishes and guaranteed fun!
Return the Festival of the Artichoke of Paestum for its ninth edition, precisely in the beautiful setting of Gromola di Capaccio and will take place from 22 to 25 April, 30 April and 1 May 2017.
The artichoke of Paestum PGI will naturally be the protagonist of this festival being one of the most renowned fruit and vegetable products of Campania. In the village of Gromola, which traditionally hosts the party, there will be numerous stands where you can taste dishes prepare mainly with this vegetable.
In addition to tastings, there will also be moments of reflection on the nutritional aspect of the product and its importance in the Mediterranean diet.
The dishes
Among the many dishes to taste, there will be penne with artichokes and speck, risotto with golden and fried artichokes, pizza with artichokes, fried pizza, pizza margherita, bruschetta with artichoke cream and speck, caciocavallo hanged with the taste of artichoke, artichokes and baked potatoes. Dishes have also been designed for children, such as french fries with artichoke cream. Do not miss the dessert which, for the occasion, will be the original sfogliatella with artichokes and ricotta.
Finally, besides the gastronomic moments, there will also be events, shows and music and a playground for the little ones. The event will take place in an indoor facility.
