From July 22th to August 20st 2023, the wonderful village of Vatolla, a fraction of Perdifumo in the province of Salerno, will finally welcome the new edition of Vatolla Onion Festival.
This will be the eighth edition and will mark the resumption of the party after the Pandemic, making it even more special. The program is really full of events with music, folk dances, conferences and meetings, art exhibitions, theatrical performances, poetry, theater and many workshops.
Obviously, the onion will be at the center of the event, which can be tasted in the various typical dishes that will be offered at the Festival and the Mediterranean diet, in fact the theme of the event will be Transformations. The Utopia of the Possible.
The menu of the Vatolla Onion Festival
For the new edition of the Vatolla Onion Festival, a menu really rich, there will be:
- Onion pancakes
- Grated onion
- Onion soup
- Onion parmesan
- Cilento pizza with onion
- Fried onions with cacioricotta
- Sosciello
- Potato and onion savory pie
- Tagliolini with onion ragout
- Ravioli with onions
- Meat stew with onion
- Meat flavored with onion cream
All dishes will be accompanied by excellent desserts and Cilento wine.
You will therefore have the opportunity to taste this vegetable, which for centuries has been grown only in Vatolla.
