For Women's Day 2017 there will be the extraordinary opening of the House of Venus in Bikini at the Pompeii excavations!
On the occasion of the Women's Day, l'March 8, 2017 to archaeological excavations of Pompeii, there will be the extraordinary opening of the House of Venus in Bikini, where only for this celebrative day will be exposed the statue of Venus in Bikini, now preserved at the Archaeological Museum of Naples.
The precious ornamental artifact, considered erotic for its pose, depicts the goddess of beauty Venus who unties her sandal, dressed in a golden embroidery fabric at the breast and pubis (the bikini).
The display of this statuette will be a tribute and a tribute to the feminine figureand also represented in the various mythological pictures of the domus that depict women and above all goddesses: Diana and Actaeon, Thisbe and Pyramus, a bacchante with Dionysus, a nymph coming out of a body of water in a flower garden.
An unmissable visit, before the closing of the domus for the safety measures foreseen within the other structural interventions of the Great Pompeii Project.
