Workshops, routes and many events for the Mother's Day in Città della Scienza. And mum does not pay the ticket!
La Mother's Day this year we celebrate the 10 May 2015, the second Sunday of the month of May, the day in which this anniversary is usually celebrated in Italy. In Naples, to honor the figure of the mother, one will be organized special event in Città della Scienza.
It will be an appointment dedicated to mothers and children, in order to deepen the relationship between them and whatever form this relationship may take in nature and, for the occasion, the mother will not pay the entrance ticket.
Mother of love path
As part of the exhibition dedicated to the sea, already set up in Città della Scienza, it will be possible to follow the Mamma d'aMARE path. It is an itinerary in various stages, each marked by a proverb od a aphorism dedicated to the figure of the mother. In this way, the mother-child relationships will be deepened as they are experienced by mammals and marine animals, comparing all the steps from fertilization to the care of the child (even those made by the father).
This path will lead to Formicopoli and to Insettopoli, respectively the anthill of Città della Scienza and the exhibition on insects that explains their habits of life.
The laboratories
Mother's Day in Città della Scienza will also be an opportunity to "work" together in some scientific laboratories such as the one on the pond or the more creative ones of the Officina dei Piccoli, but you can also discover the greenhouse and delve into the olfactory labyrinth.
The laboratories ofSmall workshop include:
- mold ceramics and create objects for the home, to be baked in the oven and to be collected on May 31st in Città della Scienza
- shape the clay following the "Adventures of Arzilla and Cretonzo", sons of Mother Earth
- realize the "mom's flower“, Nice Kusudama in paper, and Thaumatropi on eggs
- Building the herbarium "In the garden hunting for leaves"
- Cooking with the "spirulina”In the laboratory on the food and medical properties of the alga
