The Santarosa Conca Festival 2016 will pay homage to the sfogliatella and award the best pastry chef of the year!
The Santarosa Conca Festival has reached its fifth edition and will take place, starting twigs August 2th, 2016, in Town of Conca dei Marini, in the province of Salerno. It is a free event that will give to the participants music, shows under the starry sky, a literary review, creative workshops for children and many tastings of typical products of the Amalfi Coast.
The festival was promoted by the Municipality of Conca dei Marini, by the ALOE Association (Association of free economic operators) and by the Pro Loco with the aim of enhancing one of the oldest and beloved sweets of Campania. This is the "Sfogliatella”Born in 1700 in the monastery of the nuns of the Santarosa convent.
The most engaging event is certainly expected on 2 August, the festa della sfogliatella in the town squares, with tastings and the award ceremony to the best pastry chef.
