Free concerts and musical performances in different places in Naples to celebrate the European Music Festival 2014

La European Music Festival is a great popular event that was born in France in 1982 to celebrate the summer solstice, which is held on 21nd June. Since then the festival has spread all over the world, arriving in Italy in 1994 thanks to the Festa della Musica Association that has been organizing for twenty years, also on June 21, free concerts of any kind and type in many Italian cities.

Also Napoli is preparing to welcome musical events with free admission in different places in the city, with a double appointment that includes apreview 20 on Friday at 17 and 21, and the “official” day of Saturday June 21, when there will be many concerts from morning to midnight, to celebrate the European Music Festival 2014.

La Music Festival it is not a "festival" but it represents the first musical cultural phenomenon of a "popular" character. It is not an event based on a particular genre or on a particular composer, but a real one popular event to which everyone can take part, as musicians or as spectators, with free admission and in which all the music is celebrated.

Objective of the Music Festival it is, in fact, that of bring everyone closer to music and allow maximum participation in a moment of sociality, creativity and expressiveness. There Music Festival it is open to all those who wish to perform in front of an audience to make themselves known, in the squares and streets of a city, forging "an open musical language", and giving music an educational and training role and cultural promotion. All events are free because the purpose of the festival is not profit but the promotion of live music and artists.

A Napoli la Music Festival it is coordinated by the Naples Music Festival Committee, created with the support of the CISL union with its federations of the FILCA (construction workers) and FAI (agricultural workers) category and sponsored by MIBACT and the French Ministry of Culture. Therefore, also in our city, free concerts and musical performances will be held in the various places of the city, in a busy program of events that is still being updated.

Musical-theatrical show which arises from sound improvisations. Organized by Isfom (Music Therapy Training Institute) and in collaboration with the associations "Echi del Mediterraneo" and "Teatro dell'ima".
