The International Festival of the Neapolitan Music 700 celebrates Paisiello on the occasion of the May of Monuments 2016!
From 8 to 29 May 2016, for several events, the International Festival of the Neapolitan Musical 700, organized every year by the Domenico Scarlatti Association. The review is part of May of the 2016 Monuments in Naples, and in its 16enth edition proposes a tribute to Giovanni Paisiello on the occasion of the 200 ° anniversary of death.
The aim of the Festival is to make known the Baroque repertoire of the Neapolitan Music School, particularly fruitful reality that has produced great composers and artists. Through concerts, guided tours, readings and food and wine, the initiative is aimed at Neapolitans and visitors, dedicating them a path in memory.
Among the works on the calendar there are "La Serva Padrona" by Pergolesi, two concerts in do major and some of the most beautiful arias of Paisiello. There will also be one conference- guided tour to the Church of Santa Maria Donnalbina where the sepulcher of the baroque composer.
