Shows, traditions, flavors and oriental activities at the Festival of the East 2016 at the Mostra d'Oltremare with many new features!
From the 23 25 2016 September the long-awaited Orient Festival 2016 returns to Mostra d'Oltremare of Naples.
After the great success of the last edition, the festival will propose again many amazing news to discover the culture and traditions of the Rising Sun, which fascinate the public.
The whole weekend will be dedicated to traditional ceremonies like the dressing of the Kimono, the ritual of the Tea Ceremony and the stages of its preparation, music, dance, spirituality, martial arts, psychophysical well-being and customs of the East. They will not fail folk shows, cultural exhibitions and interactive areas, conferences and seminars.
A great one will be set up Oriental bazaar full of typical products and particular objects and there will be several dining options where you can taste specialties and ethnic delicacies, characterized by strong and spicy flavors and the use of exotic ingredients.
And still a lot of fun with theHoli Festival, Indian holiday of color in a Bollywood key, which embraces the West and the East, breaking down social, ethnic and cultural diversity and which will take place in the Viale delle Fontane della Mostra.

Martial Arts Festival
In the tatami areas, the instructors will offer the public performances and seminars of Aikido, Karate, Ju Jitsu, Tai Chi Chuan and all the Oriental martial arts, up to the Western disciplines Kick Boxing or Krav Maga.
An event dedicated to philosophy, spirituality and spectacularity che has its roots in antiquity.
Holi Festival
The Festival of Colors, of Indian origin, will also this year give an extra touch to the Festival of the East, also symbolizing the encounter between many different cultures. Everyone who participates will be literally colored from head to toe and will be able to celebrate the equality of all human beings.

A fascinating ceremony in which we will be able to admire features ruffle lanternsthat in their going will bring up our hidden desires that will be received and fulfilled by the gods of heaven.

Yoga
Beyond the fashions of the moment, the practice of yoga is an effective tool for a simple, healthy and natural lifestyle, oriented towards well-being and harmony of body and spirit.
With this in mind, there will be meetings, conferences, exchanges, meditation sessions, practice of the different types of discipline, also presented with modern alternative methods.
Tea ceremonies
It will be very interesting to attend traditional ceremonies like the one of the Chinese tea and that of Japanese tea, with all the typical steps to prepare a delicious cup of this drink. Every single act is full of meaning, from the arrangement of the coal to heat the water to that of the flowers as if they were in a garden.

One of the most anticipated shows is the concert of Japanese drums, a highly addictive unmissable experience that recalls ancient battles to intimidate enemies. But there will also be the dance of Indian Bollywood cinema, the music and dances of Mongolia, the Uighur dance which unites Buddhism, shamanism and Islamism. Bazaar of the East
