The appointment with the Hot air balloon festival in Paestum it is always eagerly awaited by all fans and onlookers because every year it gives a spectacle that will leave you breathless. This year it will take place from the September 30 to the 8 October 2017 and it is, as always, the largest gathering of its kind in Southern Italy.
Admission to the event costs very little, 2 €, and will allow everyone to attend the take-offs and flights of the balloons, while the most daring can get on board, paying a separate ticket, and observe the beautiful from above Archaeological Park of Paestum with the three Greek temples. The balloons will, in fact, support near the park to make the gathering even more evocative and magnificent.
The first day there will be the maiden flight early in the morning, then the village area will open with the playground for children that will have fun with many kites and there will be lacking performances by street artists.
Every afternoon visitors can get on a hot air balloon and enjoy a flight, while in the morning the flights will be held only if there will be reservations. In case of bad weather the flights will be canceled and resumed with optimal weather conditions

Flight bound
The bound flight can be done during the event with the balloons anchored to the ground with safety ropes and which will rise about 30 meters, giving the opportunity to look at the temples from above.
Price: 10 euro for adults and children. Tickets are purchased on site and will be limited in number.

How to book
La reservation required it must be done by calling the telephone numbers 0165.765525 – 3398526950 or by writing toe-mail flights@mongolfiere.it. In object write "PAESTUM 2017" and the payment can also be made in cash upon arrival. Approximately 20 seats are available for each flight.

Free flight prices
The base price is 130 € to person on weekdays in the morning on weekends. Flights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons cost money 150€. Instead, exclusive flights only for two people + pilot cost 500 € from Monday to Friday morning.
Single flat rate for adults, children and groups.
The duration and altitude are at the discretion of the pilot, on average about an hour's flight near Paestum.
Inflation and take-off: in the morning from 7.30 and in the afternoon from 16.30. Timetables may be subject to change at the discretion of the director.
Duration: between 40 minutes and 1 now.
Total duration including inflation, flight and return by land: about 2 hours.

Flight restrictions for some people (read carefully)
If there are bodily limitations and health problems, these must be communicated at the time of booking. Those suffering from heart problems, of circulation or lungs should consult your doctor before taking a balloon flight. To avoid any risk, those who have been operated on and pregnant women are asked to avoid flights.
I children less than 8 years or less than mt. 1,30 can not participate to flights. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or adult with written consent signed by both parents.
