Guided tours, meetings and tastings of fine wines and local products with the Festival delle Vigne in the vineyards of Naples!
The metropolitan area of Naples is the second largest in Europe as hectares destined for vineyards and, also for this reason, will be the protagonist of the great Festival of the Metropolitan Vineyards which will take place from the 23 to the 25 September 2016.
The area of the province, from Vesuvius to Campi Flegrei, is also one of the few in the world with still the free-range cultivation and the Festival will be an unmissable opportunity to discover this type of viticulture which is increasingly becoming an economic resource for our territory. The ungrafted cultivation concerns the vines that have never been grafted on American roots, the only ones that in the XNUMXth century managed to escape the presence of a parasite that destroyed all the other crops. In fact, to make them survive, it was necessary to graft the European vines on American roots, but only a few managed to save themselves without this procedure and they are those with a clear foot.
In this first edition of the Festival delle Vigne there will be meetings, seminars, visits to the vineyards and naturally, wine and product tastings of the territory. Below is the program, included in the initiative Malazè.
