2018 Spring Tales at the Botanical Garden of Naples with the timeless stories of the great authors

The 2018 Spring Fairy Tales are arriving at the Botanical Garden of Naples: the magical stories of the Brothers Grimm and other great authors told in the greenery!

Following the success of past editions, the unmissable Spring Fairy Tales 2018 is coming to the Botanical Garden of Naples , curated by the I Teatrini association and in collaboration with the Federico II University. Performances are scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from March 17th to June 10th.

The program features four titles based on stories by great authors such as the Brothers Grimm, Andersen, Aesop , and Phaedrus, staged by director Giovanna Facciolo. This year, audiences will also be enchanted by the world-premiere of In the Mirror of Snow White . Adults and children alike will be immersed in nature and the magical atmosphere of these timeless stories that continue to inspire dreams.

With music, color, and fun costumes , I Teatrini has been attracting Neapolitan spectators for 22 years with its traveling productions , custom-designed with trees, plants, and paths to make them even more evocative. Performances for schools are also scheduled from Monday to Friday.

Program

The people of the forest

17 and 18, 24 and 25 March

Text and direction are by Giovanna Facciolo. The inhabitants of the green places will reveal the secrets of the forest among myths and popular legends to adults and children.

The tree of the sun

7 and 8, 14 and 15, 21 and 22, 28 and 29 April

The show is taken from the fable "The Philosopher's Stone" by Christian Andersen, which tells of a wonderful tree around which the stories of magical characters revolve.

The fables of wisdom

5 and 6, 12, 19 and 26 may

The protagonists of the story are the talking animals of Aesop and La Fontaine: foxes, wolves, crows, lambs and storks represent human vices and virtues, transmitting a moral valid in every age.

In the mirror of Snow White

12, 19 and 26 may, 2 and 3, 9 and 10 June

Inspired by the Grimm's fairy tales, Giovanna Facciolo proposes here the story of the poor mirror of the wicked Queen of Snow White, tired of her wickedness and determined to leave to meet Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and many others.
