At the Gesualdo Folk Event this year there will be a great beer festival and a concert by Eugenio Bennato, among others!
Il 25 and 26 August 2016 the XIII edition of the Gesualdo Folk Event 2016 at the foot of the Medieval Castle of Gesualdo, an evocative place that testifies to the culture of Irpinia. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Civitatis Iesualdinae, is one of the most anticipated summer events in Irpinia.
The festival will bring a wide range of music to the stage that will not be the only protagonist, there will also be other situations to make this event unforgettable, for example: the Beer Festival with an area reserved for the tasting of homemade beers of our breweries, various food stands where you can taste the typical products of our land and entertainment with street artists.
The message that the new edition wants to launch through music is that of solidarity. We will try to sensitize the institutions and the participants to have a more open vision to eliminate all forms of marginalization and selfishness.

The Solerlab music laboratory will perform.
On the stage will rise VictorZeta and the Blue Flowers, a group of Neapolitan origins whose music is a mixture of genres between pop, folk, reggae, Latin and a bit of blues.
Followed by the Sossio Banda, a group originally from the Apulian Alta Murgia whose music, reproduced with traditional and contemporary instruments, is influenced by the rhythms of the Mediterranean area
At the end, Zeketam, a group of Irpinia origin, testimonial of our musical tradition, will perform, which for the occasion will make us listen to the songs taken from their latest album "Paesaniero".

The Beatbrothers will take the stage, a band from Carpi, whose music ranges from rap, trap and HipHop. The lyrics and their melody reach directly to the hearts of those who listen to them.
Soon after, other local bands and the folk group "Il Canto del Sud" will perform.
The strong point of the whole event is the concert in Piazza Umberto I of Eugenio Bennato, the great Neapolitan singer-songwriter representing popular music in the world.
At the end of the concert Sangennarobar will rise on stage with its hilarious mix of popular rhythms.
The will also be organized Beer Festival.
