Culture, sport and walks in historical places for the 2016 Urban Trekking Day in Naples!
The 29 30 and October 2016, under the National day of urban trekking, among the many participating cities there will also be Naples, of which we will follow roads and alleys to discover its historical and cultural beauties.
The itineraries were organized by the experts under the profile of the sacred and profane in honor of the Jubilee year. Everyone can take part in the walk as the routes are differentiated by length and difficulty based on people's athletic training.
Urban trekking is an innovative way of conceiving tourism because it will be an unmissable opportunity to visit new places and at the same time play sport, which is an important and healthy activity and one that will burn a lot of calories.
The itineraries of Naples
In our city we will be able to choose two different and interesting itineraries, both of which lasts 40 minutes about.
Path from the National Archaeological Museum
The first will start from National archeologic museum, passing through the Capodimonte Hill towards the current Corso Amedeo di Savoia, the ancient Corso Napoleone, crossing the Bridge of Health, current Ponte Maddalena Cerasuolo, until arriving at Catacombs of San Gennaro, symbol of Neapolitan Christianity.

Path up to Capodimonte
The second route will start from the royal staircases built by Niccolini, and will continue to the Borgo di Small Door through the stairs of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Capodimonte up to the Porta di Mezzo where there is the church of San Gennaro in the real Wood of Capodimonte.

Route from the Archaeological Museum to the Fontanelle Cemetery
It will be an itinerary that will start from the National Archaeological Museum and, through the Bridge of Health, will lead you to the Fontanelle Cemetery.

Route from the Basilica of San Gennaro to the Salvator Rosa Station
Starting from the Basilica of San Gennaro in Antignano, we will follow the itinerary that leads to the subway of Saved Rosa until we admire the work of William Kentridge's “Naples Central Railway 1906 (Naples Procession)” in the Toledo Station. There will also be a theatrical visit.

Itinerary in the churches of the historic center
A path that will lead to visit the Church of San Lorenzo Maggiore, Duomo, Church of San Gregorio Armeno, Santa Maria della Mercede, the Church of the Old Jesus and the Complex of Santa Chiara.
For participation it is necessary to bring a book to donate: there will then be a mutual exchange during the visit.
