The Government made a decision on the duration of the Green Pass for those who have received three doses of the Covid vaccine and the result is that the Green Certification will be Unlimited, therefore without expiry. We remind you that at the moment the Green Pass lasts 9 months, but from 1 February the deadline will be reduced to 6 months.
The exception, indeed from February 1, concerns the vaccinated with 3 doses to meet all those Italians, there are millions now, who will soon see their Green Pass expire considering that the green light for the third doses has already been given since October.
Therefore, the 6 months of validity would expire shortly and, pending a decision on a possible fourth dose, it would be difficult to remain without this important document which now gives us access to almost all work, cultural and social activities in our country.
What happens to someone who has 1 or 2 doses of the vaccine?
Those who did not undergo the booster and therefore did not receive the third dose boost will see no changes, therefore their Green Pass will continue to expire by 6 months.
And who is cured of the disease or has the single-dose vaccine?
In this case, the opinion of the Cts is awaited, that is the Scientific Technical Committee, which will have to express itself in relation to the recovered who have already received 2 doses and towards those who made the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine.
A critical issue why these citizens they could be left without the Green Pass, after expiration, despite recovery or administration of two doses of the vaccine.
The fourth dose of the vaccine
There is still no certainty about the appropriateness of receiving a fourth dose anti-Covid vaccine because the opinions of the Ema and Aifa are awaited on the matter. These are the two drug agencies, respectively European and Italian, which will evaluate which categories of the population will have to take a fourth dose.
At the moment the hypotheses mainly concern frail subjects and the elderly.
Until a final decision, the Green Pass cannot be renewed and that is why it has been decided for an unlimited duration.
