Campania is definitely land of good food and definitely earthy of good wine so much so that there are numerous quality DOC wines and also i DOCG (of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin) are among the best in the peninsula: Taurasi, Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino and Aglianico del Taburno.
This year our Region reaches another important peak, earning well 23 “3 Bicchieri” of the Gambero Rosso Guide, placing their respective wines among the best in Italy. THE peaks in quality and flavor achieved by the wines awarded in Campania are very high and rare, above all thanks to the great biodiversity that exists in our territory. A fundamental feature that gives each wine its unmistakable flavor with every sip.

The area under vines in Campania
They are 24200 hectares of land where vines are grown in Campania, managed by both large wineries and small producers and expand into very varied territories ranging from the mainland to the islands, from colline to the lands overlooking the sea, taking decidedly marine flavors, passing through soils at high altitudes like those of Irpinia rich in marine fossil sediments with layers of tuff and limestone.
It does not end here because also the volcanic footprint plays a fundamental role in making the wine take on a darker sapid rhythm.
The new entries in the Gambero Rosso Guide
The wines from Campania that enter the ranking for the first time are that of Scuotto estate, the Fiano d'Avellino 2019, and that of Fiorentino, that is the Taurasi 2015.
Top of the chart the wines of Irpinia triumph who earn 12 "3 Glasses", the Sannio earned 4, in Salerno 3 were awarded, the wines of Caserta and Campi Flegrei (in the Neapolitan area) they received 2 each.
The most awarded wines
In Campania, the white wines that have received the greatest awards are the Fiano in the Avellino area, Falanghina and the Greco di Tufo both in the Campi Flegrei and in the Sannio. The good vintage of 2019 gave excellent results.
As for the reds, the Taurasi has received 4 awards, as has not happened for years.
