New edition of Fridays in Herculaneum, the wonderful summer event that allows guests to visit the Herculaneum ruins even by moonlight thanks to special evening tours. In particular, there are 6 evening openings, the first will be on Friday 21 July 2023.
The appointments will then continue on Friday, the July 28 and then the 4, 11, 18 and 25 August 2023. It will be a real journey through time, between lights and images, to discover the ancient Herculanem.
The evening route in Herculaneum
In Herculaneum, on the occasion of these evening itineraries, there will be real night itineraries with artistic illuminations and theatrical performances, whose common thread will be the food. In fact, there will be in-depth points related to food, nutrition and the pleasures of the table.
The departure will be at the Sanctuary of Venus and from here we will continue towards the Casa dei Cervi, the V Cardo with a stop at the large taberna and the oven, the decumanus maximus, the workshop of Neptune and Amphitrite, the House of the wooden partition and the House of the two atria.
Visitors will be able to admire objects, foods, organic finds that will allow them to understand the diet of the ancients and how they prepared, they cooked and ate food.
How to participate
In order to participate in the Fridays of Herculaneum it will be necessary buy a ticket costing 10,50 euros on the Ticketone website, or directly at the ticket office at a cost of 9 euros (8 euros + 1 euro for the flooded areas of Emilia Romagna). For those under 30, over 65 and owners of Artecard there will be a reduction to 5 euros (4 euros +1 euro for Emilia Romagna). All under 18s get in free.
In each appointment they will be foreseen 16 rounds of visits, starting from 20:00 to 22:50, the groups will leave every 10 minutes. Access will only be possible from the Corso Resina entrance. All visitors must show up 20 minutes before your turn.
