In the afternoon of Thursday July 20 2017 they register strong slowdowns on the Naples ring road junction due to a fire started at via Caldieri al Vomero.
To be precise, the flames have burnt the weeds that are found on the sides of the ramp leading to the roundabout of via Caldieri, also involving via Tosti, via Ruggieri and via Omodeo. In these streets, the police evacuated two buildings as a precaution.
I firefighters they promptly arrived on the spot, but the traffic throughout the area is very slow, both in the junction that connects Fuorigrotta to Vomero and in the nearby ring road, whose “Vomero” exit is nearby.
The fire, which started in the afternoon, caused one big and dense black cloud which has also moved into neighboring neighborhoods bringing with it even ashes.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of fires that have been hammering Naples and Campania for many days and are now set on a daily basis, thanks to the drought that fuels the flames and the rain that has not been seen for many weeks.
