Many sports competitions and cultural events at Isolimpia 2015 in Naples!
From the 23 September 2015 the sporting and cultural event will take place Isolimpia, which proposes in a modern key the ancient agons (Olympic Games) wanted by the emperor Augustus.
Competitive competitions will take place in the locations of the Virgilian Park, of the THerman of Agnano and in the appropriate spaces of the Mostra d'Oltremare. The interesting project was conceived by the Amartea association, with the aim of bringing back to Naples a sporting-spectacular event of international level, every two years, which takes place over several days and in different sites of the city.
In this way it is hoped to recover the cultural origins of the Neapolis Greek and Roman and, through them, develop an economy and tourism based on the inexhaustible archaeological, artistic, landscape and environmental heritage of Naples.
The theme of the 2015
In tune with the principles of the Milan Expo and the First European Week of Sport (EWOS), the theme of this edition is entitled "Neapolis Italica, form, ars et modus ", underlining the importance of proper nutrition (based on the so-called Mediterranean diet, which includes a variety of foods, preferring vegetables, cereals, fish, rather than caloric dishes), physical exercise and leisure in the life of man.
The disciplines of the competitions are divided by categories and age groups and include both team sports that individual, including tennis, volleyball, athletics, chess, martial arts, with particular attention also to Paralympic Sport.
