From the 29 January 2015 the remake of the greatest rock musical of all time to the Augusteo theater. Among the protagonists Ted Neeley, the Negrita, Simona Molinari and Shel Shapiro
Do you remember it " Jesus Christ Superstar ", the greatest rock musical of all time, by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber? Well, hold on tight because from 29 January 2015 the show will be on stage at Augusteo theater with the original "Jesus", the actor Ted Neeley, historical protagonist of the famous film of the 1973 by the director Noran Jewison.
And the surprises do not end here: the music will be taken care of live by Bold type. An absolute novelty in terms of musicals. It is the first time, in fact, that an Italian rock band plays a musical becoming its protagonist on stage. The leader Pau will play the role of Pontius Pilate while the guitarists Drigo and Cesare "Mac" will perform together with the orchestra, made up of 12 musicians, directed by the maestro Emanuele Friello.
However, the cast of “Jesus Christ Superstar” is full of surprises. In addition to the participation of the Negrita, other important characters will take the stage. The talented Simona Molinari will play the role of Mary Magdalene while the timeless Shel Shapiro he will play Caiaphas.
The show will also give space to the emerging talents, like the Florentine 24enne Feysal Bonciani, young actor-singer, chosen by director Massimo Romeo Papiro and Ted Neeley among over five hundred candidates, who will lend voice and body to the character of Judas. On stage they will perform, in addition to the famous Paride Acacia like Hannas and a Emilio Geppetti like Simone, also waders, dancers, fire eaters, acrobats that will make the show innovative and even more compelling.
The choreography is by Roberto Croce, the scenographies of Giancarlo Muselli and Teresa Caruso, the costumes by Cecilia Betona.
