The only Italian date, that of Naples, for the pianist Keith Jarrett who will perform at the Teatro San Carlo for a solo piano concert
Exactly six years after his first performance at the Teatro San Carlo, the pianist Keith Jarrett returns to perform at the Massimo Partenopeo the 18 May 2015.
Internationally renowned artist, pianist and composer ranging from jazz to blues, from gospel to classical music, through ethnic music, Keith Jarrett has chosen Naples for his only Italian date, a stage he deeply loved for the passion and respect that the public has always reserved for him.
In memory of his last performance the cities, in fact, the pianist declared himself very satisfied with the behavior, both silent and passionate, of the spectators in the room, who were able to appreciate his art, choosing the right moments to get excited without being intrusive or interrupting the melody.
The event will be made even more special by the concomitance with the Jarrett's birthday that ten days before the concert will be performed 70 years and the mayor De Magistris himself declared that the city will find a suitable way to pay homage to the artist.
Keith Jarrett has chosen the San Carlo again for a solo piano concert by accepting the invitation of the artistic director of Angels and Musicanti Festival, Paolo Uva, who strongly wanted the American pianist to offer the city an important cultural event. In addition, to celebrate its birthday the ECM Records will release two of his records, including a live from the title Creation.
A unique exhibition that makes Naples proud for the pianist's decision to choose it as the only Italian city for his tour, confirming the fascination that our artistic and cultural history, as well as that of music, have on artists of the caliber of Keith Jarrett.
The ticket presale began on April 17.
