Food Hall at Naples Central Station

Thursday September 16 2021 was inaugurated the new Food Hall at Naples Central Stationin Piazza Garibaldi, to offer everyone a space to relax and find something to eat.

It is a large area of 4000 square meters with 14 dining options for anyone passing through the station, including travelers, commuters, tourists and citizens and it is overlooking the tracks and the historic atrium.

THEinput is in front of the platforms 5/6 or directly from the entrance of Corso Novara.

The premises located in the Food Hall

Inside this huge Food Hall there are restaurants, takeaways and many different places where you can sit or eat something on the fly.

Il ground floor is dedicated to the breakfast area and snacks with sfogliatelle, coffee, toast, ice cream and take away products, while at the first floor you can find pizzas, traditional first and second courses, meat and different types of bars for aperitifs.

In the Food Hall there is no shortage of prestigious names, such as pastry shop of the great Iginio Massari.

Among the many clubs present we find Bottega Prosecco, Al Dente, Il Vero del Professore bar, Hearts of Sfogliatella, Billy Tacos, Fresh, MammaMia, McCafé, McDonald's, Nonna Titti Roadhouse, Scaturchio and ToastHouse, Heineken Beers & Bar.

Of these, four are local to Chef Express, the important brand of the Cremonini Group, and specifically: the Roadhouse Restaurant steakhouse, the Billy Tacos on Mexican cuisine, McDonald's and the historic Neapolitan brand Il Vero Bar del Professore.

The Food Hall: an area born from reuse and recovery

The Food Hall at the Central Station was born after a major restyling which made it possible to use disused spaces and to enhance the architectural elements, especially the most important ones.

In this way, this new area is configured as a important point of connection between the station and the city giving the area greater livability. Napoli Centrale is a very important and popular station in Italy, the third in the country for flow of travelers and is the most important intermodal hub in Campania. With this restyling and with the new 4000 square meter area it will be even more a point of reference.

During the works it was a part of Corso Novara has also been redeveloped and the works are part of the active operations for some time to give a new face to Piazza Garibaldi.

A step forward towards the characteristics of other European cities where the central stations are real shopping centers with advantageous consequences in economic terms.
