La Traviata, the opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi inspired by the famous novel La Signora delle Camelie, is staged at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples.
From February 27 al 4 March 2018 goes on stage, in the prestigious Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, "Traviata", the opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi to a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave.
The opera is inspired by the famous novel by Alexadre Dumas child, that is "The Lady of the Camellias". The protagonist of the novel is the famous courtesan Marie Duplessis who in the story takes on the role of Marguerite Gautier. In the novel, Dumas the son describes their tormented and almost impossible love.
The first performance of Verdi's Traviata took place at the Teatro la Fenice in Venice on March 6, 1853. A romantic story told by the music of Giuseppe Verdi, made up of intrigues and pain that characterize the love between the beautiful Violetta Valery and the rich Alfredo Germont . Love story never accepted and opposed by his father.
