Piazza San Gaetano in Naples will host the second edition of La Lampadoforia, two evenings of historical re-enactments of the classical world!

The second edition de The light bulb is ready to return Napoli back in time. The 15 and 16 September 2017 in Piazza San Gaetano in fact, there will be many historical re-enactments of the classical world, as the same title of the event suggests.

The word lampadoforia in fact, in the world of ancient Greece, it represented the race with torches and oil lamps practiced in honor of Parthenope.

Parade in historical clothes, torchlight and Greek-Roman dances

Organized by the association The seats of Naples, these two evenings provide many moments in which the Greco-Roman world will be absolute protagonist, in what promises to be a wonderful journey through time. The great moment will be really impressive historical reenactment procession with over 250 reenactors, which will parade in Minoan, Mycenaean, Greek - Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman clothes and armor.

There will also be, in homage to the Olympic tradition, an exciting one race with torches from Megaride to the MANN, the Archaeological Museum of Naples, in addition to Greek - Roman music and dance concertsas well as the theatricalization of the peace pact between the ancient Neapolis and Rome.
