The ancient clock located on the tower above the main entrance of the wonderful Royal Palacein Piazza Plebiscito a Napoli, works again. In fact, in these days the tests took place and finally with the summer time the bells of the clock will be active again.

The clock of the Royal Palace of Naples and the one located in the large cloister of the Certosa di San Martino represent two of the older watches present in the city.

The historic watch had been restored two years ago, in March 2019, thanks to the work of the master watchmaker Michele Torre. The works were financed by the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St. George and the princess was invited to the inauguration Beatrice of Bourbon.

In the months of June and July 2020 his ringer was turned off in view of the concerts that the Teatro San Carlo held outdoors in Piazza del Plebiscito.

After about 30 years of inactivity, the historic clock will resume marking the time for citizens, in fact it will ring about every 15 minutes until 21:00.
