The Madre Museum of Naples will present its permanent collection “To_form a collection” with an inauguration party

Il Mother Museum of Naples presents the conclusion of the project to the public To_form a collection, started in 2013 with the aim of forming a permanent collection of contemporary art.

Friday May 22 2015 the exhibition will then be presented To_form a collection # 4, fourth chapter of the project that took shape on the second floor of the museum and in other spaces of the building, presenting to the public more than 100 works by 60 artists, to deepen the reflection on the identity and function of the museum collection today, as a tool for critical reflection and multiple narration, where artists and the public can participate and interact, together with critics, collectors, gallery owners and other institutions.

Works, artists, documents, will reconstruct the contemporary artistic history of Naples and Campania, transforming the Mother Museum in a "per_formativa" reality, in progress and planning, a set of social and symbolic relationships, of stories to tell and possibilities to configure, which demonstrate how the current Neapolitan art scene is increasingly experimental and attentive to the dynamics of Italian and international languages, media and artists of different generations, formations and backgrounds.
