Even Naples will be joining the May of 2015 Books, here are all the events in the city
Il 23 April 2015, on the occasion of the Unesco world day and of the ioleggoperchè, will start in Italy and at Naples, the Maggio dei Libri, the interesting initiative dedicated to reading and literature of all kinds.
In this regard, Naples presents a rich calendar of events, which will last for a whole month, until May 23 2015.

Presentation of the novel "D" by Angela Procaccini
On 23 April 2015 at 18:00, at LInstitute of Southern Culture, the presentation of "D" will be the new masterpiece by Angela Procaccini. The novel tells of seven female stories, which will address the most burning social issues of recent years. Abortion, depression, abuse, love, death, pregnancy and disappointment will be the topics addressed from the point of view of women, who "survive" love, family and society.

Readings at Piazza Mercato to remember Gaetano Montanino
Also on 23 April, at 10:00, Piazza Mercato recalled Gaetano Montanino, the security guard killed in an ambush the 4 August 2009, while fulfilling his duty.
Readings for the world day of books and reading
The day continues at 18: 00, at the Guide space, where the cultural association A Voce Alta and the Arkès Library will organize a singular reading, within which all the participants will be able to share the parts of the most important and emotional novels.

From To 9 23 May 2015, from 10:30 am at Via Tito Angelini, Via Eldorado and Piazza Municipio, the pupils of 20 Neapolitan schools will dedicate themselves toOrlando Furioso. This project, curated by "A Voce Alta", which started last March, when each class analyzed a song from the novel, and then presented it at the Maggio dei Monumenti, according to the following calendar:
- 09 / 05 / 2015, 9.30 hours - Castel S. Elmo (Vomero / Scampia district) - reading of the songs from n. 1 at n. 7
- 16 / 05 / 2014, 9.30 hours - Castel dell'Ovo (Chiaia district) - reading of the songs from n. 8 at n. 15
- 23 / 05 / 2014, 9.30 hours - Castel Nuovo (historical center district) - reading of the songs from n. 16 at n. 23
A day reading ... air: books and readers on the streets of Vomero
Also this appointment was held this morning, in Via Scarlatti, where middle and high school students have read and strolled aloud, some passages of novels chosen by them. All surrounded by artistic and creative reading, which saw the involvement of the public and the meeting of several authors for the creation of a story on site.
