As usual, the singer was supposed to bring the winning song, but apparently the song does not meet the standards required by the singing contest.
Mengoni at Eurovision 2023: the song is too long
The talented Italian singer Marco Mengoni is preparing to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Liverpool from 9 to 13 May. Initially it was thought that Mengoni would have opted for a unreleased track and in English, shorter and in line with the international spirit of the competition, in fact Due Vite vite exceeded the required limit of 3 minutes per piece of music.
His definitive choice, however, still fell on the Sanremo winning song, which will be presented in one shortened version to meet the limit of maximum duration of three minutes imposed by the event.
