Things, however, are different for the Campania Region because the President Vincenzo De Luca has declared that with us the obligation will remain and it will be like this until the month of September or a little more.
The rules in Campania
Therefore, in Campania, according to De Luca's announcement, it will be it is mandatory to wear a mask indoors even beyond mid-June and until the end of September or early October because the need is to be cautious considering that the pandemic is not over and there still are many infections.
Vincenzo De Luca, in addition to being President of the Region, is also responsible for the COVID-19 regional unit and has stated several times that he is concerned about the fact that cases of contagion mainly due to new variants that are much more contagious.
There is a risk of new outbreaks
These new variants are likely to ignite new outbreaks of contagion and the data of the weekly report of the Gimbe Foundation are worrying, according to De Luca. What are the rules in the rest of Italy
As mentioned, the indoor mask will no longer be mandatory in some contexts. According to government regulations, it will not be mandatory in the workplace.
There are just a few exceptions. They will have to continue to wear it:
- workers in health, social-health and social-welfare structures;
- workers in hospitality and long-term care facilities;
- workers in assisted healthcare residences (RSA)
- hospice workers, rehabilitation facilities, residential facilities for the elderly, including non self-sufficient ones.
Instead, until June 15th it will still be mandatory:
- on both short and long-distance means of transport;
- cinemas, theaters, halls and similar places when the shows take place indoors. Outdoors it should be carried with you and worn in case of gatherings;
- in the stadium it must be worn, unless the fans in your sector are few or far between.
In supermarkets, bars and restaurants it will no longer be mandatory to wear it even to go to the table or to go to the bathroom.
