At the Maschio Angioino in Naples, after 600 years the Book of Light is revealed, a mysterious phenomenon of sunlight linked to the Grail.
From the 21 23 2017 June , on the occasion of the summer solstice from 17.30, Castel Nuovo-Maschio Angioino, for the first time in history, live de will be shown to the public "Book of Light".
The Book of Light is the result of a mysterious phenomenon caused by sunlight which takes place inside the castle and which also evokes the history of Alfonso V.
At the summer solstice, in fact, the light enters from the largest window in the Sala dei Baroni of Castel Nuovo and the solar ray makes an arc of a circle on the opposite wall: gradually the light turns into a painting and then in what appears to be the silhouette of an open book, maybe the Book of knowledge, an image that returns several times to the castle.

Starting from this phenomenon, the symbology scholars Salvatore Forte, Francesco Afro De Falco and Annalisa Director, noticed that the mysterious image of an open book struck by the sun's rays reappears in the entrance portal of the castle, in the Throne Room and in the same paintings depicting Alfonso V. It is also a symbol that leads back to the Holy Grail and to those days of the 400th century when the sacred cup made a stop in Naples.
The IVI association (Interactive Virtual Itineraries) will guide you on this path full of surprises and mysteries and, to participate in the event, it is necessary to book. The project is part of the program "The Grail at the Maschio Angioino" which will end in July 2017.
