Esotericism and history will be the leitmotif of the esoteric guided tours of the Maschio Angioino.
From 2 October 2016 until June 2017, every Sunday, there will be guided tours scheduled as part of the project Grail at the Maschio Angioino. Only the Fortress of Time will certainly take place also in August 2017.
They will be organized unpublished paths in an esoteric and historical key, which will make us know of the unexplored places of the Castel Nuovo, fortress symbol of the city of Naples.
This interesting initiative is the result of the agreement between the Ivi association (Interactive Video Itineraries), and the Department of Culture of Naples, who will present the program of the event in a conference to be held on September 27th.
Researchers have found and studied the traces of the presence of the Grail at the Maschio Angioino, although its true meaning still remains a mystery. In this regard, some have claimed that it was the cup where the blood of Christ was kept by the Magdalene after her side was pierced by the spear of the Roman soldier Longinus.
Paths
The planned itineraries depart hourly from 9.00 to 13.00 e can be chosen individually or combined between them. If you choose to do more than one, you can follow them both on the same day and in two different days of the year.
Grail at the Maschio Angioino
It is the esoteric path which starts from the Arc de Triomphe, continues in the courtyard and arrives at the Sala dei Baroni (or Sala del Trono). It is the path of the Grail that gives the initiative its title and it will be shown how the Sun draws precise symbols on the walls. You will see a real one stone book and thesecret essence of the Grail and his probable presence in the Castle.

Fortress of time
It 'shistorical itinerary which allows you to visit the entrance arch, the atrium, the external walkway, the gunboat, the courtyard, the prisons, the spiral staircase, the Chapel of San Francesco di Paola and the original door inside the museum . A journey into the Aragonese fortification works on the south external side walkway between the Watchtower and the Gold Tower. You will be provided with a helmet and torch and you will continue in the ancient gunboat under the Torre dell'Oro to continue in the prisons, in the "crocodile pit"With the remains of the prisoners who made the" conspiracy of the Barons ".

The escape of King Charles
It is the rope course and d 'adventure which will guide visitors, through a well, to the base of one of the castle's towers. The event of the escape of the Redalla Gran Sala to the sea resumes. We will descend into the 30 meter deep pit. You will be provided with a helmet, light and harness. The visit is for over 14s.
